The Association for Science and Reason (ASR, formerly Skeptics Canada) is a not-for-profit organization composed of diverse individuals. ASR’s mandate is to promote the understanding and application of critical thinking skills and scientific methodology via educational outreach, activism, collecting and disseminating information, and communication (with the public and the media).
We ask: “What is the evidence?”
ASR examines extraordinary claims with an open mind, but exposes claims for which evidence and reason are poor. A few of the issues we examine are alternative medicine, paranormal claims, conspiracies, cryptozoology, and hoaxes.
